Getting started - How To Import Parent and Student Data

If you have many parents and students to add to Curacubby, you can use the Import tool to quickly and easily import the data. You can either upload data from a file or enter it directly into Curacubby.

Or, follow the written steps below.

To import your parent and student data from an existing file:

  1. Prepare your file for import. The file must follow the Curacubby Import Template format (the fields highlighted in yellow are required) and be uploaded in the TSV format. Setting the parent 1 status to "pending" and selecting a flow will upload that student record to the "Signups" page.
  2. Click "Import" on the left side bar (under "Settings")
  3. Click "Select file to upload." A preview of the data will be displayed in the import tool page. Note: There is a limit of 200 rows per upload. If you have to upload more than 200 records, you will need to upload the data in groups of 200 rows.
  4. Review the data.
  5. Click "Import Records"
  6. If any required fields are empty, or the data is invalid, you will receive an error message. The invalid fields will be indicated by a red outline. Hover over the field for more information. Once the fields are corrected, click "Import Records" again.
  7. Once the import is complete, you will receive an email confirmation.

To import your parent and student data manually:

  1. Click "Import" on the left side bar (under "Settings")
  2. Only the required fields will be displayed. To show all fields available to import, de-select "Only required fields."
  3. Click "+Add New" to add an empty row
  4. Enter the data in the appropriate fields. Please note, the following fields are required: Parent 1 First Name, Parent 1 Last Name, Parent 1 Email, Child First Name, Child Last Name, Child Birthdate. You can click "Tab" to advance to the next fields and "Enter" to add a new row.
  5. Once you have added all your data, click "Import Records"
  6. If any required fields are empty, or the data is invalid, you will receive an error message. The invalid fields will be indicated by a red outline. Hover over the field for more information. Once the fields are corrected, click "Import Records" again.
  7. Once the import is complete, you will receive an email confirmation.
