Staff Permissions

This article will help you specify staff account permissions.

 

To locate your staff permissions select:

Dashboard > Settings > School > Staff > Edit Pencil > User has admin rights

Here is a brief video walkthrough of locating staff permissions and what each selection grants access to:

Staff Permissions

Below is each staff permission and a description of what this gives the staff member access to

Parents

  • Profile - allows the staff member to view and edit the parent's "Profile" tab only.
  • All tabs but financial info - allows the staff member to view and edit the parent's Profile, Students, Forms, and Attendance tabs (cannot view invoices, statement, and ledger tabs - to give access to "Invoices" tab, select "Invoice Page and Tabs" below)

Students

  • Profile - allows the staff member to view and edit the student's "Profile" tab only
  • All tabs but financial info - allows the staff member to view student's Profile, Parents, Enrollment, Forms, and Attendances tabs (cannot view invoices tab - to give access to "Invoices" tab, select "Invoice Page and Tabs" below)

Invoices Page and Tabs

  • Allows the staff member to view, create, and edit invoices from the "Invoices" page and parents and student's "Invoices" tabs. The staff member can also view a parent's statement and ledger tabs. 

Attendance Page

  • Updates/Creates - allows the staff member to update and create student attendance records from the "Attendance" page
  • Reporting - allows the staff member to view student attendance reports from the "Student Attendance Report" page
  • Kiosk - allows the staff member to launch digital attendance kiosk
  • Include Staff - allows the staff member to update and create staff attendance records for all staff members and view staff attendance reports

Classrooms  

  • Allows the staff member to create and edit classrooms

Programs 

  • Allows the staff member to create and edit programs

Staff Settings 

  • Allows the staff member to create and edit staff members, including updating admin rights

Reach Out 

  • Allows the staff member to send out messages using the Reach Out feature


Simple Reports 

  • Allows the staff member to create, view, and edit Simple Reports

Forms Editor

  • Allows the staff member access to forms editor under the settings section

Accounting Reports  

  • Allows the staff member access to create and view all accounting reports.

Miscellaneous 

  • Allows the staff member to add and edit common line items and chart of accounts in the miscellaneous section

Financial Settings  

  • Allows the staff member access to the school's financial settings

Applicants

  • Allows the staff member access to signups and the signup settings

Moments Mobile App Access

  • view/edit/delete only moments created by the user - Allows staff to publish/edit/delete moments created only by this user
  • view/edit/delete only moments associated with their classrooms - Allows staff to publish/edit/delete any moments within classrooms associated with staff member
